Introduction
In this article we will explain step by step how to process a TrueView GO (TVGO) handheld mapping dataset in LP360. This article is divided in 2 sections, steps to process TVGO and example on how to process a TVGO step by step. This article will not explain in detail each of the settings available in each step, but it will point user where to find more information. It is also useful to complement this article the LP360 Land User guide.

How to process TVGO
This section is an example of how to process a TVGO step by step. The settings selected in this example should work for any generalistic dataset captured outdoors.
1. Import
1. Select “Import Raw Missions into New Project…”
2. Select “TrueView GO”.
3. Press “Folder” to import the raw data from the sensor. You can select 1 or more cycles (datasets) to be processed in the same project.
Note: The very first time you select TVGO data, the software will ask you to install the LP360 sensor extension.
4. Settings, the TrueView Go Advanced Settings provides extra settings to the TVGO processing.
Recommended settings:
- Fast Colorization
- Outdoor or Indoor scene type
- Moving Objects Filters, selected
- Use all constellations, selected
- Apply Settings to All Cycles, selected
5. Now, select the processing mode in the "Mode" column. There are 3 different types:
- SLAM: Indoor
- RTK: Outdoor with RTK corrections used during the data acquisition. The user needs to select the RTK Geographic CRS.
- PPK: Outdoor with a base station used during the data acquisition. The user needs to select a RINEX file and the coordinates of the base station.
6. Press Next.
7. Select the Project Root Folder and the Project Name.
8. Select the desired CRS.
Tip: Select "Local Coordinate system" for SLAM datasets
9.Press Next –> The summary will be display –> Press next.
10. Data imported.
2. Point Cloud generation
Once the cycles are imported into LP360, it will start automatically processing the raw data.
It is recommended reading the following article, TrueView GO Point Cloud Generation.
2.1. Job manager
- Go to "Sensor" ribbon -->"Job Manager".

- Wait until the processing has completed and the job is in the Ready state, then select the job and press "Complete Job".
- The point cloud is generated without filters.
2.2. Post Processing to filter the point cloud
- Go to Sensor ribbon –> Post Processing tool.
- Select the Clip Angle
- Select the Clip Range.
Post-Processing with the recommended settings for the TVGO in meters
- Run Post Processing …
- Post processing point cloud is generated.

3. Control Points Processing
Check the article about TGCPs to learn how to use them, TGCPs processing with the TrueView GO.
The user will need to measure multiple targets during the data collection with the TVGO and later have the targets coordinates (measured by a different sensor, for example an RTK rover).
The TGCPs workflow requires at least 4 GCPs measured, and is strongly recommended to georeferenced SLAM datasets or outdoor datasets with poor GNSS coverage.
TGCP measurement
After this step we recommend continuing with the TrueView recommended workflow. Some of the steps recommended are:
If you have multiple TVGO datasets, it is highly recommended to perform "Registration" before doing any additional processing.
