Review Area Features

Requires an LP360 Geospatial Standard and above, LP360 Drone, or LP360 Land Standard license.

The Review Area Features tool on the on the Volume tab of the ribbon opens Feature Analyst with the features of the Active Area Layer to review the results of the Import Area Features , Draw Area Feature , or Auto Toe Extraction tools.

How to Review Area Features

1. Launch LP360 and Load Your Project

• Open LP360 and ensure your project is loaded.
• Confirm that the LAS dataset used for volumetric analysis is active.

2. Execute the Import Area Features , Draw Area Feature , or Auto Toe Extraction tools to add an Area Layer to your project.

3. Make the desired Area Layer active

• Use the Active Area Layer dropdown on the Volume tab to select the desired Area Layer you wish to review.

4. Select the Review Area Features tool on the Volume tab.

5. Review Attributes and Geometry

• View:
  • Vertices
  • Perimeter
  • Area
  • Direction
  • Elevation
• Use the Feature Analyst Options Analysis Tab to help identify problems with features and cleanup as desired.
• Use the Feature Edit tools to inspect and modify the geometry as desired:
  • Select/Edit Vertices
  • Add Vertex
  • Delete Vertex
  • Reshape Geometry
  • Split Geometry
  • Simplify Geometry
  • Reverse Geometry
• Use Define Z to set or modify the Area Feature elevations as desired.
