LP360 Version 2025.2 Now Available!
We’re pleased to announce the release of LP360 Version 2025.2, now available for download and installation. This latest update introduces powerful new tools, enhanced performance, and workflow improvements designed to make your LiDAR and photogrammetry processing faster, smarter, and more intuitive than ever.
Explore what’s new and see how LP360 v2025.2 helps you elevate your projects below:
Introducing the new Volume tab
The Volume tab in LP360 is a specialized ribbon interface designed to streamline volumetric analysis workflows. It provides tools for calculating and managing cut/fill volumes, stockpile measurements, and other terrain-based volume computations using LiDAR data. This tab is part of LP360’s broader suite of point cloud processing capabilities and is especially useful for professionals in mining, construction, and land development.
*Requires an LP360 Geospatial Standard and above, LP360 Drone, or LP360 Land Standard license.
Added breakline support for Export LandXML TIN
The Export LandXML TIN tool in the Project and Ground Classification tabs of the ribbon allows users to transfer surface data into downstream CAD workflows by creating LandXML files directly from LP360.
* Included standard with every LP360 license—no add-on required
LP360 introduces the new Immersive Image Explorer for Next-Generation data fusion and Visualization
The new Immersive Image Explorer brings a dynamic, ground-level viewing experience to LP360, similar to Google Street View, directly within the Immersive Viewer. Users can seamlessly navigate through images that are perfectly aligned with their point cloud data, providing powerful visual context and spatial awareness. Designed for intuitive interaction, the Immersive Image Explorer displays images from their optical center, overlays LiDAR data with imagery for enhanced analysis, and allows users to toggle visual layers for more focused inspection. The built-in toolbar makes it easy to switch between Geo Images and Street View Images available within a project, creating an engaging and efficient way to explore, verify, and analyze data.
* Requires an LP360 Land Standard or an LP360 Drone license.
Full support for the new TrueView 539 now available
Building on the success of the TrueView 540, the new TrueView 539 brings advanced engineering-grade surveying capabilities to a wider range of aerial mapping professionals. Designed for those who demand high-quality LiDAR performance in a more affordable package, the TrueView 539 delivers precision and flexibility without compromise.
Full support for the new TrueView 641 now available
LP360 v2025.2 now offers full support for the TrueView 641, an affordable, NDAA-compliant engineering-grade LiDAR system developed in partnership with Triple-IN Laser Technic. Combining long-range performance with high-accuracy data capture, the TrueView 641 delivers a reliable, lightweight solution for surveyors, engineers, and mapping professionals who need compliant hardware for government, DOT, and critical infrastructure projects. Seamless integration with LP360 ensures efficient processing, QA/QC, and deliverable creation within a single, proven workflow.
Modeling for Generating a 3D Mesh from TrueView GO Cycles
The Modeling tool enables users to generate high-fidelity 3D Mesh models directly from TrueView GO handheld sensor Cycles, transforming raw LiDAR and imagery data into immersive, navigable digital environments. This capability enhances workflows across AEC, forestry, heritage conservation, underground mining, and facility management.
*Requires an LP360 Land 3D Mesh Modeling addon license.
LP360 v2025.2 finalizes support for generating TopoDOT image lists and camera calibration files within the Export Photo Package tool.
LP360 v2025.2 introduces a streamlined workflow for TopoDOT users with the enhanced Export Photo Package tool. Users can now automatically generate TopoDOT image lists and camera calibration files, organized within TopoDOT_Photos_merged or TopoDOT_Photos_CYYMMDD_hhmmss folders—depending on the selected export option. These updates simplify project setup and ensure smoother, more efficient downstream processing and analysis in TopoDOT.
- Generation of the TopoDOT files is only available in Drone and Land licenses.
- Generation of the TopoDOT exports are supported with both LP360 Drone and LP360 Land licenses. Note TrueView GO data requires high-precision point cloud colorization to have been run prior to export.
Improvements to the Statistical Noise Point Filter PCT
LP360 v2025.2 delivers significant improvements to the Statistical Noise Point Filter PCT, enhancing ground cleanup and surface refinement following Adaptive TIN Ground Filtering or AI Ground Classification. This automated algorithm identifies and reclassifies points that meet a “noise” criterion, helping to smooth near-horizontal surfaces such as ground areas affected by laser range precision or surface variability. By intelligently removing noisy data, the enhanced filter produces cleaner, more accurate surfaces and streamlines post-processing, making it an ideal step for finalizing high-quality terrain models.
* Stats Noise Points Filter is available for Geospatial Advanced, Drone and Land Standard
Sensor Trajectory Processing for Applanix Systems Now Cloud-Enabled
LP360 v2025.2 moves Sensor Trajectory Processing for Applanix-based systems to a monitored job through LP360 Cloud, delivering greater robustness, visibility, and control throughout the processing workflow. This enhancement gives users deeper insight into job status and performance while improving reliability and efficiency in trajectory generation.
* Requires an LP360 Drone license.
Strip Adjustment Merged into Strip Align – Now Compatible with All Sensor Datasets
In LP360 v2025.2, Strip Adjustment has been merged into Strip Align
and enhanced to support any sensor dataset containing LAS files and corresponding sensor trajectories. This update streamlines workflows and broadens compatibility across a wider range of LiDAR systems.
* Requires the Strip Align for Drone Add-On license.
Agisoft Ortho Mapping with a run location of Cloud is now an MfEC job run in Job Manager
Agisoft Ortho Mapping , located in the Processing group on the Sensor tab of the ribbon, allows users to automatically drive Metashape for creating orthomosaics and/or point clouds from their photos and insert the Metashape results back into the project from which Metashape was launched. After setting all values press Submit Job to create a job and start the Metashape processing.
* Requires a Photogrammetry with Agisoft, Cloud Photo 3000, or legacy Full Photo license. Please note, no Metashape license is required.
GUI Improvements
- Moved the Point Cloud Tasks tab functionality from the TOC to the Point Tasks tab of the ribbon to streamline PCT setup and execution and improve the experience with both the TOC and Point Cloud Tasks.
- Support for a 3D Gaussian Splat Viewer (EXP).
General Improvements
- Reworked the TrueView GO handheld Import Cycle and sensor processing workflow, adding it to the Sensor Processing launcher, with a SLAM Processing tool allowing for easy reprocessing with different modes or settings.
- Updated translations for several of the supported languages.
