Macro Point Cloud Task
*This feature is available in the Standard license level and above for LP360.
A Macro contains two or more tasks that are executed in a specified order over the same geographic area. The Macro Tasks list contains the tasks that are included in the Macro that you build. The order of the tasks in the list defines the order in which the tasks will be executed (top to bottom).
You can add new or existing tasks, remove tasks, and move tasks up and down in the task list to achieve the desired functionality for the Macro. Selecting a task in the Macro Task list will display the properties for that task, and you may change them accordingly.
How to Create a Macro Task
-
Use the Add Files command to open the LAS files that contain the data you want to use.
-
Use the Add Task command to create a new point cloud task. When you are selecting a Task Type in the Add Point Cloud Task dialog, select Macro. Once you click OK, you should see the unique name that you gave your macro task selected in the list and the Macro property page displayed on the Point Cloud Task tab.
-
Use the Add Macro command to add the tasks that will comprise your macro. Use as many tasks as necessary. Each task will be listed in the Macro Task list in the order that the macro will be executed. You may use the Move commands to change the order of execution.
-
Once you have completed assembling the macro, execute the Macro Task using any of the Execute tools on the Point Cloud Task toolbar.
