Reproject LAS Point Cloud Task
*The feature is available in the Basic license level and above for LP360 and above
This Point Cloud Task supports LAS Reproject operations to a new output file. It writes output .srs files with the same base filename as the output LAS file(s). It supports reproject as well as all of the various options which can be seen in the dialog. These include converting the SRS to one defined by the user and applying a custom geiod model. A new LAS layer will be added to the TOC with the reprojected data. The "Batch Processing" checkbox forces reprojections when doing batch processing and there are different datums present.
The below image shows a section of an input LAS layer executed by Envelope on the Point Cloud Task toolbar. It was originally flush with the black edge, but was shifted 500 meters in the X and Y directions as a result of the ReProject PCT being run. It's display type is set to Elevation, whereas the input LAS layer is set to Point Source.
NoteWhen a new project is created, LP360 attempts to set the SRS of the project using the first loaded LAS file. If this can not be done (for example, there are many LAS files with no defined SRS), the user should set one in 'Project Settings' (Use Project SRS) in order for the Reproject/Shift to work correctly. In this case, the SRS set in the Project Settings dialog will always be used, regardless of the SRS of the Active LAS Layer. |
