About Copying to the Clipboard

The contents of the 3D Window or Immersive Viewer can be copied to the clipboard in the form of a bitmap. This allows the data view to be readily pasted into other applications such as Microsoft Word, or into a layout within ArcMap™.

How to Copy to the Clipboard

Copy Command

1. In the desired view, select the Copy to Clipboard command to put the contents on the clipboard.
2. Within the destination application, select the Paste button or use 'Ctrl+V' to paste the bitmap into the application as an image object.
