Toggling Intensity Shading

Intensity values can be blended with other color values derived from elevation, or classification. When blended, the points or TIN surface appears as viewing the current selected legend with intensity. Blending intensity values is very useful for visualizing LIDAR data as an image or when imagery is absent from the project. The Intensity layer properties page can be invoked via a shortcut by holding Ctrl and clicking the Apply Intensity Shading button on the LP360 toolbar.

How to Toggle Intensity Shading

Hillshading Toggle Command

Click the Intensity Shading Toggle command to reverse the use of intensity blending.

Tip

If the colors simply darken on the screen, this is a sign of invalid intensity values within the LAS file(s). Intensity shading will only work properly if valid intensity values exist within the LAS file(s)
