Modifying the Vertical Scale of the 3D Viewer

About the Vertical Scale

The vertical scale can be increased to stretch the z values or decreased to compact the z values of the 3D Viewer. Increasing the vertical scale is useful to display or emphasize differences in z values that are very similar such as flat areas.

How to Modify the Vertical Scale

Using Ctrl + Mouse Wheel

1. While pressing the "Ctrl" key, scroll the mouse wheel forward to increase the vertical scale and backward to decrease the vertical scale.

Tip Make sure the 3D Window is the active window, otherwise the mouse wheel will pan the map instead of modifying the vertical scale of the 3D Window. Click on the toolbar section of the window, not the title bar of the window.
