The Survey Nail Manager on the Sensor Tab manages a priori survey base station locations (referred to as a "survey nail" or "reference mark"). These reference marks are used throughout LP360 when a survey base location is required.

Add
Opens the Add Survey Nail dialogue (Figure 2), to add a Survey Nail to the Manager. You must enter a name and description and have the Latitude/Longitude information or a corresponding OPUS file.
Figure 2: Add Survey Nail dialog
Name: Enter a unique name for the new Survey Nail.
Description: Optionally add a description for the new Survey Nail.
Survey Nail Location: Enter the Latitude and Longitude in decimal degrees or degrees minutes seconds (DMS) as per the selected Coordinate Format, and Ellipsoid height in meters. Be sure to separate the Degrees, minutes, and seconds, with a colon (DD:MM:SS.sssss).
If an OPUS solution is being used, save the OPUS results in a simple text file, and import it into LP360 using the Load from OPUS button. The Latitude, Longitude, and ellipsoid elevation will be automatically read from the text file and populated in the applicable fields.
Creation Date: Enter the date when the nail was established.
Frame: Choose the correct reference frame and epoch for the base station coordinate. The ellipsoid for the selected frame will be shown for reference. The post process kinematic engines use this information to perform any datum and epoch transformations necessary for processing the sensor trajectory. For 2DIS local base processing, this is reference information to understand the reference frame for the resulting sensor trajectory.
Clone
Opens the Clone Survey Nail dialog (Figure 3) with an exact copy of the selected nail in the Survey Nail Manager dialog (Figure 1). Edits may then be made as desired.
Note: It is necessary to change the name to a unique name before saving the cloned nail.

Edit
Edit opens the Edit Survey Nail dialog (Figure 4) for the selected nail in the Survey Nail Manager dialog (Figure 1) to make modifications as desired.
