Add Files Open Setting
When you add LAS files to a LIDAR layer, you have the option to open them with restrictions on modification or open to modifications. The Open Setting on the Add LAS Files dialog box allows you to choose to open all LAS files selected during the process of creating a layer with an Open Read-Only setting, in which case, the files may be viewed in the layer but not modified. Or you can choose to Open Read-Write, and the files would be able to be modified.
