Adding LAS/LAZ Files in LP360 for ArcMap

LAS/LAZ files are added to a layer using the Add Data dialog box. The Add Files button opens an Open dialog box that allows you to select one or more LAS or LAZ files that will be used to create a layer or add to an already existing layer.

The files you select will then be displayed in the file list of the Add LAS Files dialog box. You can see detailed information in this list for each file listed.

How to add LAS files

1. Click the Add Files command on the Import section of the toolbar.

   

   The Add Files dialog will open.

   

2. Click Add Files to select one or more LAS files to add to a layer.

   Note - Use the Ctrl or Shift key to select multiple files.

3. Finish creating the LIDAR Layer as specified in Creating a LIDAR Layer and then click OK. LAZ files will be decompressed and the corresponding LAS file will be added to the layer. The original LAZ file is unaffected.
