If you experience a crash while running LP360, you can send a report in an e-mail explaining the occurrence and the accompanying data from the dump file to GeoCue. Crash reports are very useful for the future enhancement of LP360.
How to Send a Crash Report to GeoCue for a Crash in LP360
When LP360 must close because of an error in the program, an Error Report notification will display.
NoteWhen you send the report, you are agreeing to send the contents of the dump file, along with information about what caused the crash, to GeoCue. You also agree to allow GeoCue support personnel to observe your data for the purpose of diagnosing problems in LP360 that caused the crash. |
-
If you would like to view the contents of the report before sending it, click the What does this report contain? link. An Error Report Details window will display the dump file, crash report file, and screenshot files associated with the error.

In the Error Report dialog box, you may select Send report to send the dump file without sending your contact information or additional comments about the steps you were performing leading to the crash.
-
Please Provide additional info about the problem and your contact information (recommended). Then continue with the following steps.
-
In the Your Email box, type your email address. You will be contacted if more information about the crash is needed and if GeoCue is able to provide you with a fix or a workaround.

Silent Crash
A silent crash is described as the situation that occurs when LP360 crashes, or closes silently, and does not display a crash report window.
Probable Resolution#1
A silent crash could be a defender style program on your machine or local network that is killing the program. Please ensure the adequate exceptions for defender style programs are in place.
Probable Resolution#2
There may be a Windows generated crash dump file in your %localappdata%\CrashDumps folder, with LP360 or one of its child executables in the name, or an event in your Windows Application event log that could give a clue as to what is happening.
Once the file has been located, it can be e-mailed as an attachment to LP360 Customer Support (LP360dump@LP360.com) for further debugging. An explanation of what was occurring when the crashed happened is helpful and encouraged.
