This session focuses on preparing LP360 deliverables for efficient use in CAD environments. Presented at the LP360 User Conference, the session is led by Matt Stevens, Technical Support Manager for LP360, and covers best practices for exporting surfaces, breaklines, and orthophotos for CAD workflows.
The session demonstrates how to export DEMs with enforced breaklines, generate DEM-to-LAS and ASCII XYZ outputs, and thin datasets to ensure CAD-friendly performance. It also introduces methods for compressing and tiling large orthophotos for compatibility with legacy CAD software, streamlining exports using PCT tasks and the Job Manager, and generating LandXML surfaces without overloading the CAD environment.
