If your GNSS base station data is unavailable or unreliable, you can still achieve accurate positioning using Trimble’s PP-RTX (Post-Processed Real-Time Extended) technology. This cloud-based correction service allows you to process GNSS trajectories without relying on a local base station.
Steps to Use PP-RTX in LP360
- During trajectory processing, select:
- Run Location: Cloud
- Processing Mode: PP-RTX
2. Important Note:
LP360 Points will be required to process.
3. Post-Processing Considerations:
- The resulting trajectory may not be as clean or precise as one derived from a single-base solution.
- To improve overall accuracy, it is strongly recommended to run strip alignment after geocoding.
Why Use PP-RTX?
- Ideal for scenarios where base station data is missing, corrupted, or inaccessible.
- Enables continued processing without compromising project timelines.
- Provides robust global coverage and high-precision corrections.
Best Practices
- Always verify the quality of the PP-RTX trajectory before finalizing deliverables.
- Use strip alignment to correct any residual misalignments and enhance the final geospatial accuracy.
