Installing LP360 Sensor Extension

To help keep the size of the LP360 installer smaller for users who do not require every component, the notion of the LP360 Sensor Extension was added. When a user attempts to use a function that requires the initial use of the LP360 Sensor Extension, for example, the TV540 Data Copy tool or TV540/TVGO Cycle Import , then the user will be prompted to download and install the Sensor Extension. This is a large installation package (currently ~3 GB), so make sure this operation is performed when there is sufficient internet bandwidth available to the user. The user may choose to “Download/Install” or to “Download Only”.

If the user has sufficient permission to perform this operation, then it is recommended to proceed with downloading and installing the package in a single step. However, if the user does not have the proper permission to install and needs to distribute the installer to their IT department for installation, choose “Download Only”. Once downloaded, a user with adequate permission may open the installation file and proceed with installing the Sensor Extension.

If a user is currently utilizing an older version of the sensor extension and is eligible for the latest version, the user will be prompted to update when utilizing a function that uses the Sensor Extension. The user can choose to disregard (cancel) this if there is insufficient internet bandwidth at the time of receiving this message. The user will continue to be prompted to update in future sessions until the update is downloaded and installed.

If manually installing the Sensor Extension outside of LP360, always uninstall previous versions first.
