📌 Problem
OPUS is down. How can I submit a base station file to obtain a coordinate for that survey nail/reference mark, which can then be entered into the Survey Nail Manager for processing sensor trajectory solutions.
🧠What is OPUS
OPUS is an online GNSS static data post-processing service. NOAA's Online Positioning User Service (OPUS) provides free access to high-accuracy National Spatial Reference System (NSRS) coordinates.
🔍 Root Cause
OPUS is occasionally unavailable due to government shutdowns or system upgrades, so the following alternatives can be used to post-process your static GNSS observations to obtain your survey nail/reference mark positions.
âś… Probable Resolutions
-
Trimble CenterPoint RTX post-processing service
- Hosted by Trimble, this service is free but does require an account to login to use the website.
-
Recommended: Use the Computed using Trimble CenterPoint RTX option integrated directly into LP360's Trajectory Processing Wizard
removing the need to enter the coordinates for that survey nail/reference mark, which can then be entered into the Survey Nail Manager
- Can also be run from within a POSPac project generated by LP360.
- Review the prerequisites.
-
CSRS-PPP
- Canadian Spatial Reference System (CSRS) Precise Point Positioning (PPP) is a service provide by Natural Resources Canada.
- The service is free, but an account is required to login and submit your observation.
-
AUSPOS
- AUSPOS is a free online GNSS data processing service provided by Geoscience Australia.
- No Account is needed to use AUSPOS.
