About Adding All Values or Categories

An automatic search or scan of points can be very useful for adding point source numbers quickly to the point source legend. To obtain the point source numbers, a thinned set of points are scanned. A message box will display an informative message about the scanned thinned point set including information such as the resolution of points searched. If the data set is small, a message may not be displayed, in which case 100% of the points were searched to create the list of point source numbers.

Note: The informative message may not display due to you turning it off.

How to Add All Values or Categories

1. Open the Properties dialog.

2. Select the 'Symbology' tab and the 'Point Source' tab within it.

3. Click the "Add All Values" button in the Point Source Legend Property Page. A thinned point data set will be scanned for unique point source numbers.

4. Once the points have been scanned, the unique values will be added to the legend.
