Modifying the Point Size
The size of the points drawn in the screen can make a significant difference in the appearance of LIDAR data. Using a small point size such as 1 pixel will allow the background to display through much more than using a large point size such as 3 or 4. Considering the density of LIDAR points, larger point sizes can produce an effect on the screen much like a raster surface painting the entire screen.
