About the Shortest Contour

Some contours are too short and may not require annotation or labels. You may eliminate contours from annotation by specifying a distance as a percentage of the annotation frequency. To decrease the length of contours to annotate (given that an acceptable location to post is found), decrease the percentage. To increase the length of contours to annotate, increase the percentage.

1. Open the Contour Property Page by selecting the Properties button on the LP360 toolbar, then click the Symbology tab, the Contours tab, and the Annotation tab. This is the order of the nested tabs.

2. Input the shortest contour to annotate as a percentage of the annotation frequency.
