Setting the Clipping Plane
You can restrict the points seen on the map or the 3D window to only those above, below, or between clip planes set within the profile window. This is useful for when you want to see areas only at specific elevations.
How to Set the Clipping Plane
1. If you have not already done so, draw a profile line and display the profile window in order to set the clipping planes.
2. Click the Set Clipping Plane tool (LP360 Standalone) in the Clipping toolbar.
3. Right click within the profile window to check "Use Lower Clip Plane" and/or "Use Upper Clip Plane" as is desired.
4. Move the clipping panes by clicking on a plane and dragging up or down.
5. Use the Enable Clipping Plane in 2D View and Enable Clipping Plane in the 3D tools (LP360 Standalone) on the Viewer Integration toolbar to view the results of the clip within the map and 3D windows, respectively.
