Moving the 3D Window's Extent
The 3D window's extent is selected in the map using the Draw 3D Viewer Extent command on the Viewer Integration and QA/QC tab. The extent is isolated and displayed in the 3D window. The 3D window re-displays the point selection each time you draw a new extent in the map. The extent can be made bigger, smaller, or dragged to a new location. After moving or modifying the size of the extent, the 3D window is refreshed with the new extent.
How to Modify the 3D Window's Extent
1. If the 3D Window is not displayed, click the 3D Window Display command on the Viewer Integration toolbar to display it.
2. Draw the extent using the Draw 3D Viewer Extent command on the Viewer Integration or QA/QC tab by clicking and dragging over the area you want to select in the map. The extent will display in the 3D Window.
3. Click the Move 3D Window Extent command on the Viewer Integration or QA/QC tab (ArcGIS).
4. Hover over the extent in the map. Observe how the cursor changes depending on the location relative to the extent.

If the pointer position is within the extent, the Size All cursor appears. This indicates that you can drag the extent to a new location with just a click. You can scale the extent in and out by holding the right mouse button and dragging the cursor down or up, respectively.
-
Move the pointer over an edge of the extent. Depending on the edge, the cursor will change to a directional sizing cursor. This indicates that you can size the extent in that location by holding the left mouse button and dragging the edge.
-
Move the pointer over a corner of the extent. Depending on the corner, the cursor will change to a corner cursor. This indicates that you can size the extent in the two directions indicated by the cursor by holding the left mouse button and dragging the corner.
