LIDAR points can be exported to DXF or DGN files. The points stored in the DXF and DGN files are 3D entities/elements (i.e., x, y, z). The classification of each point is used for the Layer attribute in the DXF file and the Level attribute in the DGN file.
How to Export LIDAR Points to DXF/DGN Files
This is the method for completing Step 1 of the Export Wizard for DXF or DGN files only.
- Open the LP360 Export Wizard
from the Project tab of the ribbon. The Export Wizard dialog opens with Step 1 of 3 displayed.

Select Points from the Export Type list.

Select AutoCAD DXF or Microstation DGN from the Export Format list.

Select Input Points Filter to define which points to export.

Select Next to proceed to the next step of the Export Wizard, Export Extent (Step 2 of 3).
