📌 Problem
After installing LP360, attempting to launch the application results in no visible user interface. No splash screen, dialog, or error message appears, and the application may briefly appear in Task Manager before closing.
In some cases, the application may only open successfully when launched using Run as administrator.
✅ Probable Resolutions
-
Possible Windows System file corruption
It is possible that some Windows System files have become corrupt. Please run the Microsoft system file checker to verify, and if necessary, repair any corrupt system files.
- Open an elevated command prompt by right-clicking on the shortcut and selecting Run as Administrator.
- At the command prompt type "sfc /scannow"
- Review the displayed results for "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them."
- If found, there were some corrupted system files that the program has found and repaired. Try opening LP360 now to see if it fixed the issue.
-
Reset Corrupted User Configuration
In some cases, the LP360 user configuration files may become corrupted, preventing the graphical interface from initializing during startup.
- Close LP360 if it is running.
-
Navigate to the following directory:
%APPDATA%\LP360
- Rename the LP360 folder (for example, to LP360_backup).
- Launch LP360 again. The application will recreate the configuration folder with default settings.
-
Graphics Driver or GPU Initialization Issue
LP360 relies on hardware-accelerated graphics during application startup. If the graphics driver fails to initialize correctly, the application may exit before the GUI appears.
- Ensure your system’s graphics drivers (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) are up to date.
- If you are using a system with both integrated and discrete GPUs, verify that LP360 is not being forced to run on an unsupported device.
- Attempt launching LP360 outside of a Remote Desktop session, if applicable.
-
Repair Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable
LP360 depends on Microsoft Visual C++ runtime libraries. If these components are missing or corrupted, the application may fail to launch without displaying an error.
- Open Apps & Features in Windows.
- Locate the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable entries.
- Select Modify or Repair where available.
- Reboot the system after completing the repair.
-
Security Software Blocking Application Startup
Endpoint security, antivirus, or application control software can prevent LP360 from launching, resulting in no visible GUI or error message.
- Temporarily disable antivirus or endpoint protection to test application launch.
- If LP360 opens successfully, add the LP360 installation directory to the security software exclusion list.
-
LP360 Only Opens When Run as Administrator
If LP360 opens successfully only when launched using Run as administrator, this indicates a permissions issue preventing the application from accessing required files or folders under a standard user account.
LP360 requires read and write access to user-specific configuration and cache locations during startup. If access is denied, the application may exit silently before the GUI appears.
-
Ensure the current user has full read/write permission to:
%APPDATA%\LP360
- If these folders already exist, verify they were not created under a different user or elevated context.
- Temporarily rename the LP360 folders in the locations above and relaunch the application to allow them to be recreated.
- Confirm that antivirus or endpoint protection software is not restricting file access for non-administrative users.
LP360 should not require administrative privileges for normal operation. If elevated permissions remain necessary after completing the steps above, system-level access policies may be preventing standard execution.
