LP360 allows users to personalize their workflow by assigning custom shortcut keys to classification and other tools. This can be done through the Customize Toolbar settings in the Options Menu on the LP360 Menu bar (Figure 1).
🧭 Steps to Assign Custom Shortcut Keys
- Go to Options → Customize Toolbar → Keyboard tab.
- Browse through the list of available commands grouped by category (e.g., Classification, Feature Edit, Point Cloud), i.e., ribbon tab.
- Select the command to which you want to assign a shortcut.
- In the Press new shortcut key field, type your desired key combination (e.g.,
Alt+P) or make the field active and then press the desired key combination on your keyboard. - Select Assign to save the shortcut.
- To remove or reset a shortcut, select the command and use the Remove or Reset buttons.
🧩 Displaying Shortcut Keys in Tooltips
To make it easier to remember and use your shortcuts, enable shortcut key display in tooltips:
- Go to Options → Customize Toolbar → Options tab.
- Check the box labeled Show shortcut keys in ScreenTips.
- This will display the assigned shortcut next to the tool name when you hover over toolbar icons.

⚠️ Limitations
- Only the ribbon tools may be assigned shortcut keys. The Profile and 3D Viewer tools are preset and cannot be modified.
