When working with line features in LP360, especially as breaklines for curbs or other linear features, having the ability to copy a line and shift it can be very helpful in simplifying to creation process. The workflow outlines in this article will allows users to digitize only a single line for a linear feature, then allows for creation of duplicate lines that can be shifted to account for multiple sides of a real-world object, such as the front, back, and top of a curb.
- Add or create a Polyline Feature layer
- To add an existing Line Feature Layer to your project, use Add Files
on the Project Tab
- To create a new Line Feature, use Create Feature Layer
on the Feature Edit Tab
- Set the Type to Polyline
- To add an existing Line Feature Layer to your project, use Add Files
- If creating a new layer, use Create Feature
on the Feature Edit Tab to digitize the desired line feature.
- For example, create a line for the top of a curb
- Press Save Edits
on the Feature Edit Tab

Select the line feature in the Map View, then use the Create Feature from Selected Feature
tool.
- Select and right-click on the copied line feature, then press Shift Selected Feature option
- Specify the desired X, Y, and/or Z units you would like to shift the line feature by
- For example, shift by X = -0.1 and Z = -0.1 to create one of the bottom edges of a curb
- Press Enter on your keyboard.
- Repeat steps 4 through 7 to create another line
- To create the opposite bottom side of the curb, shift by X = 0.1 and Z = -0.1
- Press Save Edits
on the Feature Edit Tab
