Photo Processing

Requires an LP360 Drone license.

The Photo Processing tool on the DJI Tab is used only for DJI payloads with only a photo sensor, such as the M3E or P4P. It is used to make sure the True Pose® Photo tags are correctly applied to the images making processing more streamlined by readying the photos for use in the integrated downstream processing tools,  Agisoft Ortho Mapping  or Ortho Mapping ; or for the Export Photo Package to facilitate the import of images into third-party photogrammetric processing software.

Flight Line Layer

Automatically defaults to the flight line layer of the Active Cycle.

Photo Processing

The Retain Photos Settings allows the user to specify the photos to be kept for geotagging and export to photogrammetric software packages using Export Photo Package or for processing in Agisoft Ortho Mapping  or Ortho Mapping . The notion of “Retained Photos” creates a layer of photos on a new layer called “Retained Photos.”

The Update Photo EXIF Tags checkbox enables the Update EXIF Tags on the Sensor Tab to execute in batch as part of the Photo Processing.

Calibration File

Opens the Calibration File dialog with the options to define which Calibration file to use when updating the Photo EXIF tags. The Calibration files imported with the Cycle file may not be the most recent one available for your sensor. LP360 automatically checks for an updated calibration file.

How to use Photo Processing

1. For Real Time Kinematic (RTK) processing of DJI photo only payloads, run Photo Processing after Cycle Import .
2. For Post Process Kinematic (PPK) processing of DJI photo only payloads, run Photo Processing after Trajectory Processing .
3. Select Photo Processing tool on the DJI Tab to open the Photo Processing dialog.
4. Verify the correct _FlightLines layer is displayed.
5. Select the desired Retained Photos setting and enable Update Photo EXIF Tags.
6. When ready, select Submit Job to submit the task to the Job Manager . 
7. A message will appear showing the job has been sent to the Job Manager .
8. Open the Job Manager to monitor the status of each job. Once a job has finished processing, select the job and then Complete Job to complete the job and add the results to your project.
