Console windows opens for KMP_AFFINITY

Problem

Users may see a console window open while working with LP360 v2024.2. Closing the console window will close also LP360.

Probable Resolution #1:

Upgrade to the latest release of LP360 as this issue was resolved in v2025.1.

Probable Resolution #2:

Add the environment variable KMP_AFFINITY and set its value to none:

1. Open This PC: Right-click on "This PC" or "Computer" on your desktop or in File Explorer.
2. Select Properties: Click on "Properties" from the context menu.
3. Advanced System Settings: In the System window, click on "Advanced system settings" on the left side.
4. Environment Variables: In the System Properties window, go to the "Advanced" tab and click on "Environment Variables".
5. Search for KMPAFFINITY: In the Environment Variables window, look for "KMPAFFINITY" under the "System variables" section.
6. Create the Variable: If "KMP_AFFINITY" is not listed, click "New" to create a new system variable.
   • Variable Name: Enter KMP_AFFINITY.
   • Variable Value: Enter none.
7. Save Changes: Click "OK" to save the new variable, and then click "OK" again to close the Environment Variables window.
