Changing the Read/Write State of an LAS File
An LAS file can be opened for read-only or read/write permissions. The display of LAS files only requires read-only permission; however, editing of the points requires the source LAS files to be opened for read/write permission. Multiple access to an LAS file opened for read is allowed; however, only one user can open an LAS file for read/write.
Note: An editing license is required to open an LAS file for read/write.
How to Change the Read/Write State of LAS Files
Double Click Read/Write State Icon
-
With the LAS Files Context View displayed, double click the read/write state icon
for the LAS file in the list to open as read or read/write.
-
Each double click will toggle the read-only
or read/write
state of the LAS file in the list.
-
If the LAS file has the read-only file property set or is opened for read/write by another user, toggling the state to read/write
will fail.
