An LAS file that cannot be found on disk is termed invalid and will display an exclamation point, "!", beside the file. After saving the LAS Layer to disk, a file can become invalid when an LAS file is deleted or moved to another directory. An invalid file can be fixed by selecting a new file or selecting a new folder that now contains the file(s).
