Several federal civilian agencies who contract for LIDAR data recently upgraded and added additional seats of LP360 to their current license installments. These agencies are looking to improve their data acceptance quality assurance processes as well as add tools for ad hoc cleanup of LIDAR data. Cited as reasons to extend their use of LP360 are:
- LP360’s extensive and growing set of point cloud quality check tools
- LP360’s support for all formats of LAS, including the new LAS 1.4, Record Type 6 (an upcoming USGS requirement)
- LP360’s ability to manage very large data sets
- The superior customer support provided by the LP360 support team
In addition to the increased commitment from our federal customers, two more state Departments of Transportation (DOT) recently chose LP360 as their LIDAR processing workflow tool. The DOTs have the same interest in robust QC tools as well as new exploitation tools such as volumetric analysis and cross-section generation.
We have been working very hard to add new tools and features that can make a difference in the value
that our customers can extract from point clouds. We are gratified to see our work translate into expanded adoption in the customer base!
