How do I move my LP360 node-locked license to a new machine?

Applies to LP360 Geospatial node-locked licenses.

The licensing system in LP360 v2018.1 and later allows users to move their own node-locked licenses from one machine to another, after a seven day lock period.

1. Start LP360 on the machine where you wish to deactivate the node-locked license.
2. Open the License Manager (File -> License Manager)
3. Select "Deactivate Node-locked License". Note that you may not deactivate a node-locked license for a minimum of seven days from when it was activated on the machine.
4. Install LP360 on the new hardware by downloading the latest version from the LP360 Portal.
5. Copy any settings from your current machine to your new machine that you wish to transfer between machines.

7. The License Manager Credentials dialog will appear. The License String will populate automatically if you sign in to your LP360 Online account and select Perpetual. Otherwise, copy your License String from the LP360 Portal -> Admin -> Organization section into the License String box and select set. If you cannot find your License String, please contact us at support@lp360.com.

Note: It is necessary to enable outbound communications to ls24.rlmcloud.com [3.19.97.206], ls41.rlmcloud.com [13.52.168.75], or ls60.rlmcloud.com [44.218.196.186], as specified in your License String, on ports 5053 and Company specific port# as noted in your LP360 Portal -> Admin -> Organization section, on any firewalls for the product to communicate with the hosted license server. These ports are normally open by default on most firewalls.

8. The left side, Available Licenses, will show your available license types, including the LP360 Viewer Floating licenses.
9. Select your desired license level from the dropdown list and select “Activate Node-Locked” to enable a node-locked LP360 license on that machine for the desired timeframe. Note: Node-locked licenses cannot be deactivated for a minimum of seven days from activation.
10. Select Close to close the License Manager and open LP360 at the desired license level.
11. You can reopen the License Manager at any time from within LP360 (File -> License Manager) to change license levels like one used to do in the “License” menu.
