This article applies to LP360 Geospatial node-locked perpetual licenses.
LP360 v2018.1 and later allows users to move their own node-locked licenses from one machine to another, subject to a minimum lock period.
Before you begin
- A node-locked license cannot be deactivated for seven (7) days after it is activated on a machine.
- You must deactivate the license on the old machine before activating it on a new one.
Step 1 – Deactivate the license on the old machine
- Start LP360 on the machine where the node-locked license is currently active.
- Open File → License Manager
.
- Select Deactivate Node-locked License.
If the seven-day lock period has not elapsed, deactivation will not be available.
Step 2 – Install LP360 on the new machine
- Download and install the latest version of LP360.
- Start LP360 on the new machine.
The Credentials dialog of the License Manager will appear automatically if LP360 is not yet licensed.
Step 3 – Activate the node-locked license on the new machine
In most cases, licensing will be configured automatically when you sign in to LP360 Online.
- In the Credentials dialog, sign in using your LP360 Online account.
- Select Perpetual as the license type.
- Confirm that your license information is populated.
- From the list of available licenses, select the desired license level.
- Select Activate Node-Locked.
If automatic configuration does not occur, you can manually enter your license string from the LP360 Portal -> Admin -> Organization section and select Set.
Note: A node-locked license cannot be deactivated again for seven (7) days after activation.
Optional – Transfer user settings
If desired, you can copy user settings from the old machine to the new one. These files are typically found in:
%AppData%\LP360%ProgramData%\LP360
Only copy files if you want to preserve custom settings, filters, or workflows.
