Browsing directly to a 7z file downloaded from LP360 Cloud using a Windows File Explorer dialog results in the Compressed Archive Folders Error, "Windows cannot open the folder."

Retry the Download XFR Job:
Did experience a failure in the download XFR child job of your AI Ground Classification (CGC) or other Cloud job? In Job Manager
you can select the download XFR job and retry.

Use the Download from Cloud Tool
The built-in Download from Cloud
tool or Sample Data
tool for trainees, viewer and prospective users, will both download and extract the contents of the 7z compressed folder.
- Open LP360 and go to the Tools menu.
- Select Download from Cloud

- Sign in to your LP360 Online account when prompted.
- Navigate to the folder containing your dataset.
- Select the dataset and press Download. LP360 will save the file as a .7z archive in your chosen local directory before automatically extracting the contents.

Extract the .7z Archive
LP360 cannot open compressed archives directly in dialogs that do not expressly specify to select a 7z file, and neither can many standard Windows installations.
- Install 7-Zip (or similar tool), if not already installed.
- Right-click the downloaded
.7zfile → choose 7-Zip → Extract Here or Extract to [Folder Name]. - Verify that the extracted folder contains:
- .LAS or .LAZ files (point cloud data).
- Any classification or metadata files (e.g.,
.xml,.db). - The original folder structure intact.
