The Extra Bytes tabs of the Live View dialog allows user to filter by the Extra Bytes data. Extra Bytes are a mechanism that allow programmers to formally extend a point data record of the LAS format to add customized data fields that are not explicitly defined or required by the specification. Live View allows user to filter by up to three Extra Bytes using the Extra Bytes 1, 2 and 3 tabs.

How to Set up an Extra Byte Filter

Select the desired data filed via the "Available Field Names" drop-down menu.

Metadata for the selected parameter is displayed in the dialog.

Note: Some EBs use scale and offset to adjust the range of the data. The min and max values will be displayed since this range is most familiar to users.
