Sign In using your LP360 Online account. Ask your LP360 administrator to invite you into an existing organization or sign up for a new account if your organization is new to LP360. Sign in is required for Viewer and subscription licenses. Sign in is recommended but is optional for perpetual license users, however, some functionality may require the user to be signed in.
Select License Type
The Credentials dialog may be revisited at any time by checking in all licenses on the Activation tab of the LP360 License Manager and selecting Credentials to then change your desired license type. LP360 Geospatial has both machine (node-locked) and concurrent (floating) licensing perpetual license options available. LP360 Drone and LP360 Land licenses are concurrent (floating) licensing with subscription and perpetual license options available.
-
- No License (Viewer mode): If signed in, select to run LP360 in Viewer mode.
- Subscription: If signed in, select to checkout a license from your subscription license pool.
-
Perpetual: Select to connect to and checkout a license from your perpetual license pool.
Subscription
A subscription license pool is provided by LP360 Online, hence accessing subscription licenses, including the free viewer license, requires a user to be signed in. Subscription licenses have an expiration date and are valid for any version of the software during the subscription period.
Under Available Licenses on the Activation Tab of the LP360 License Manager, the pulldown menu has a list of your available license types. Choose your desired license type from the list. See the License Tab of License Manager for your complete list of desktop subscription licenses.
Use the LP360 Portal to manage your subscription desktop and cloud licenses and users.
Perpetual
A perpetual license pool typically contains licenses which do not have an expiration date and are valid for any version of the software released prior to the maintenance expiration date on the license.
If the License String has not yet been entered on this machine, enter the License String as found in your LP360 Portal (Admin -> Organization) or as provided by GeoCue and select “Set”. This License String appears in the format: “CUSTOMER ______ isv= ______ server=______ port=____ password=_____”.
Note: It is necessary to enable outbound communications on ports 5053 and one additional port, as found in your LP360 Portal (Admin -> Organization) or as specified when you receive your License String, through any firewalls for the product to communicate with the cloud hosted license server. These ports are normally open by default on most firewalls.
Under Available Licenses on the Activation Tab of the LP360 License Manager, the pulldown menu has a list of your available license types. Choose your desired license type from the list. See the License Tab of License Manager for your complete list of perpetual licenses.
Floating License
If you select a floating license, you will be checking out a license. Select roam to operate and keep the license on the machine even when not connected to the license server, you must input the number of days you wish to keep the license. The default number of days for a roaming license is 30. You can always check the license back in before the 30 days is over. Click Check Out Floating License to finish activating the license on your machine.
Figure 3: Floating license available for checkout
Once the license is checked out the Current License section will enable and contains your license information, including the number of days left on your roaming license if applicable. Use the Check In Roaming license button to check in your license at any time.

Once your license is activated, the Current License section will enable and contains your license information, including the days left on your license.
Please note that node-locked licenses cannot be deactivated within 7 days of activation. If you try you will receive an error message.
