Use this article to sign in and select a license in LP360. If licensing is not preserved after an update, use the same steps to sign in again and reselect your license.
Before You Begin
LP360 must already be installed. For installation help, see the Installation Guide. For current installers, use the LP360 Portal. For older versions, see LP360 Installers.
Sign In and Select a License
- Start LP360 to open the Credentials dialog in LP360 License Manager.

- Sign in with your LP360 account. Sign-in is required for Viewer mode and subscription licenses and recommended for perpetual license users.
- Select a license type:
- No License (Viewer mode): Run LP360 in Viewer mode.
- Subscription: Check out a license from your subscription pool.
- Perpetual: Use a floating or node-locked perpetual license, depending on your organization’s license model.
- If you select Perpetual, LP360 usually auto-populates the License String after sign-in. If it does not, copy it from your LP360 Portal > Admin > Organization section, paste it into the License String field, and select Set.
- Select OK to open License Manager
.
- Select the license level you want from Available Licenses, then choose the action that applies:
- Check Out Floating License
- Check Out Roaming License
- Activate Node-Locked
- Select Close to open LP360 at the selected license level.
Notes
- Your firewall must allow outbound communication on port 5053 and one additional assigned port for hosted licensing, as noted in your LP360 Portal > Admin > Organization section.
- Node-locked licenses cannot be deactivated for at least seven days after activation.
- You can reopen LP360 License Manager at any time from File > License Manager.
