Sorting LAS Files

The LAS files listed in the dialog can be sorted in ascending and descending order using a variety of attributes that originate within the header of the file or as a property of the file. The following describe the attributes that can be used to sort the files:

• Filename: the name of the file
• Number of Points: number of points stored in the header
• Size: physical file size
• Creation Date: creation year and day stored in header
• Last Modified Date: last modified date of the file

How to Sort LAS Files

1. Right click on the column header in the LAS file list on the left side of the dialog.
2. Click to select an attribute to use to sort the files.
3. Click on the column header in the LAS file list to sort the files using the attribute selected to sort by.
4. To toggle the ascending and descending states, click the column header.
