LP360 introduces the Immersive View, a revolutionary way to visualize your LiDAR data. Unlike the traditional 3D Viewer, which limits you to small sections, the Immersive View allows you to explore your entire LPLAS point cloud in a seamless, interactive 3D environment.
New Features in the Immersive Viewer:
- Vertical Scale:
- "Fine-tune the vertical exaggeration of your point cloud to emphasize subtle elevation changes. This is especially useful for analyzing terrain features or identifying small variations in your data."
- Axis Directions:
- "Customize the orientation of your 3D space by adjusting the axis directions. This flexibility allows you to align your view with specific project requirements or personal preferences."
- Display Sprite Mode:
- "Visualize your point cloud with enhanced clarity using the new sprite mode. This option optimizes the display of individual points, providing a smoother and more detailed representation of your data."
- Feature Layer Display:
- "Overlay and visualize feature layers directly within the immersive environment. This allows you to integrate vector data, such as building footprints or utility lines, with your LiDAR point cloud for a comprehensive analysis."
- Clip Immersive View:
- "Precisely define your area of interest with the clipping tool. This feature lets you isolate specific portions of your point cloud for focused analysis, minimizing visual clutter and improving performance."
- Classify by Polygon:
- "Perform classification tasks directly within the Immersive Viewer. Use polygons to define areas for classifying points based on their spatial relationships. This intuitive workflow streamlines the classification process and empowers you to make quick adjustments."
- Density Slider:
- "Control the point density displayed in the viewer with the new density slider. This feature allows you to optimize performance by adjusting the level of detail based on your hardware capabilities and project needs."
Important Note: The Immersive Viewer is designed to work seamlessly with LAS layers that have been pyramided into the LPLAS format. This efficient data structure ensures smooth performance and optimal visualization of large point cloud datasets.
