The Source Pointsbutton under the first Properties settings section displays the standard Points Filterdialog and allows you to define the point filter that points must pass in order for the points to be considered in the rail extraction algorithm. For example, "Noise" points could be classified and ignored during the Rail Extraction process using this filter.

Click the Source Points button directly under the Input LAS Layer list.
In the Input Point Filter dialog, select the classes that you want the points to be filtered by. This filter will be applied in the rail extraction algorithm.
Complete the setup of the Rail Extraction task and click Apply.
