Z Probe Location for Control Points
The Z Probe Location determines where the elevation of the surface model is computed. This setting works in conjunction with the Calculate DZ command. The Z Probe Location determines which set of X,Y coordinates to use to calculate dZ for the control point.
Control X,Y - Selecting Control X,Y uses the control point to probe and obtain the Z value.
Measured X,Y - Selecting Measured X,Y uses the X,Y coordinates that you have measured against the control point to probe and obtain the Z value.
How to Select the Z Probe Location
1. Click the Control Point Report command on the Control Points toolbar.
2. On the Control Points Report dialog, select either Control X,Y or Measured X,Y to specify which X,Y coordinates to use to probe and determine the Z value. The Delta Z value for each point will be displayed in the control point table.
