Control Points List Name Field
The Name Field on the Control Points Report dialog allows you to select an attribute to use to identify the points in the list, as they are listed in the Name column. These attributes come from the points' ASCII file.
Note The codes in the ASCII control points file must follow all of these code conventions to be read by the Control Point Report dialog. |
Desc - Description of the point, as it is entered in the ASCII file.
FID - The full unique ID of the point.
Name - The name the point is given in the ASCII file.
Type - The point's type, according to the following convention.
FC - Full control point - X, Y, and Z
HC - Horizontal aspect of the control point - only X and Y
VC - Vertical aspect of the control point - only Z
FK - Full check point - X, Y, and Z
HK - Horizontal aspect of the check point - only X and Y
VK - Vertical aspect of the check point - only Z

How to Change the Name Field
1. Click the Control Point Report command on the Control Points toolbar.
2. On the Control Points Report dialog, click the arrow next to the Unique Name Field list. Select one of the options to identify each point in the Name column in the control/check points list.
3. A message informing you that any measurements that you have already collected for the points will display. Click Yes only if you do not mind erasing any measurements you have collected and displayed. The Name column on the table will update with your selection.
