Adding Full Folders Containing LAS Files

LAS files are added to a layer using the Add LAS Files dialog box. The Add Folder button opens a standard Windows Folder Browser dialog box that allows you to select one or more entire folders containing LAS files that will be used to create a layer or add to an already existing layer. Any files in the folder that are not LAS files will be ignored. Any subfolders contained in the selected folders that contain LAS files will also be added.

The files contained in the folders will then be displayed in the file list of the Add LAS Files dialog box. You can see detailed information in this list for each file listed. See the Add LAS Files File List for more information.

How to add folders containing LAS files

1. Click the Add Data command on the LP360 for ArcGIS toolbar.

   

   The Add LAS Files dialog will open.

   

2. Click Add Folder to select one or more folders that contain LAS files that you want to add to a layer.

   Note - Use the Ctrl or Shift key to select multiple folders.

3. Finish creating the LIDAR Layer as specified in Creating a LIDAR Layer and then click OK.
