MrSID MG4 LIDAR Import
The Import MG4 Files dialog provides the ability to convert MrSID MG4 files into LAS Files or Shapefiles.
Unlike the ASCII Import Wizard, which involves 4 steps, this dialog simply requires you to select the MG4 files for conversion, an output folder to write the converted files to, and an output format (LAS Files or Shapefiles).
Importing to a specific LAS File Version
You also have the choice to select one of several LAS file versions to create. Not all point attributes can be imported with each LAS file version. For example, the red, green, and blue color fields can only be imported when version 1.2 or later is selected. To learn more about the LAS file format, go to www.asprs.org/LAS_Specification.
