Merge Feature Layers Dialog

You may combine multiple features into one feature by using the Merge Feature Layers dialog.

How to Merge Feature Layers

In the table of contents, select two or more feature layers and then right click on a selected layer. In the menu that appears, click 'Merge Feature Layers' to open the Merge Feature Layers dialog.

'Merged SHP File Path' - Here you will set the path for the merged shape file. Click the [...] button to browse for a folder.

'Append to SHP File' - If the file path set above already exists, an option to append (or add) the merged shape file to this existing file will become available.

'Copy Attributes' - Select this option to add the attributes from the original features to the merged shape file.

'Add To Map' - Select this option to add the merged shape file to the map window after the operation is finished.

'Merged Layer Name' - Here you enter the name of the merged layer.
